Astrid

Born weighing in at an enormous 7.1kg, double the size of many newborn Lambs, it came as no surprise that Astrid’s Mother and even larger twin brother didn’t make it through the unassisted labour. After being discovered by the farmer at daybreak he quickly phoned in Astrid’s situation, giving her the greatest chance of survival.

With a full belly of milk delivered on arrival to the Sanctuary and the perfect snuggly spot in front of the fire selected, Astrid quickly began to brighten. It wasn’t long before she was adventuring around the Sanctuary and welcoming each of the new rescued Lambs into care. Astrid is very sweet, she both looks and snuggles like a teddy bear…a very well loved teddy bear as she is always EXTREMLY dirty and we honestly just don’t know how or why. Being a little grubby is totally fine around here, nobody judges one bit. Astrid is the perfect measure of sweet and confident, gentle and adventurous. She adores being patted and cuddled and we are always only too happy to oblige.

Astrid enjoys a happy life as a member of our main Sheep flock.
