Brida

Brida came into care after being found alone and freezing cold by the farmer in his paddock. On arrival she was extremely hypothermic, floppy and limp but still conscious. We knew the situation was a dangerous one, it was essential to start warming Brida up before her internal organs began shutting down.
As her body temperature began to rise, life and energy returned, it wasn’t long before she was demanding a bottle. Brida was a beautiful girl, she was very affectionate and loved to play with her best friends Patrick and Leif. She was a bright, happy and strong lamb with a zest for life.

Brida sadly lost her life at just 7 months old to a sudden onset illness that gave us no chance to medically intervene, this short paragraph about her shows how hard it still is for us to linger on her devastating loss for long. Within a couple of hours she went from a Happy and healthy young girl to departing her time with us for the next life. The shock and grief were intense. We look back at our time with Brida with such love in our hearts, we will always be thankful for the joy and friendship we shared .
