Church, Loki, Modigliana and Cubby

The Sanctuary is home to 4 fabulous felines we adopted from wonderful rescues who save animals from the pound kill lists. Loki, Church and Cubby were all adopted from the incredible Ingrids Haven and Modigliana AKA Mia was saved when her pregnant mother was taken in by Strong Hearts Cat Rescue.

The 3 boys, Loki (Ginger), Cubby (Tabby) and Church (Black), arrived several months before Modigliana. Loki was an energy filled 4 month old ginger Ninja, while church was already very much a chonky house cat. Cubby had lived a very rough and traumatic life, it took him 2 months to come out from behind the dryer while any human was awake in the house. Once over all that fear he was so affection packed we almost needed a full time volunteer to keep up with his need for pats.

Despite getting along rather well, the boys often had disagreements, little did we know that adopting little Modigliana would be the feminine balance the Cat family needed. Although just a kitten herself, Modigliana came in and layed down the law. She was the boss and that’s all there was to it. She loves snuggling with all the boys but Church is her absolute favourite, she meows incessantly if he is out of her sight. We are very grateful to have these beautiful Kittys in our life and equally as thankful to the wonderful organisations who saved them from death row.
