Disco and Lucy

Lucy and Disco resided at a ‘Fun Park’ after being purchased for the purpose of entertaining park visitors. When the Park permanently closed its doors, the girls, along with their Cow and Pony paddock mates held a very uncertain future. A local who visited the animals over the fence daily on her walks grew concerned and approached the park who then confirmed her worst fears, so she set about securing safety for as many of the animals as she could.
Disco and Lucy were the first Goats to call the sanctuary home. They came action packed with sassiness and attitude in addition to their sweetness. Lucy would often headbutt Disco and all the Sheep to claim the maximum amount of food. Disco is sneaky and cunning, she taught us all about Goat proofing our paddocks after several successful visits to the neighbours property.
When animals are used for entertainment, there is rarely a happy ending. We are so honoured to have been able to change the ending of Lucy and Disco’s story. They now live as members of herd after they reluctantly welcomed the other Shear Existence Goats to safety one by one.
