Nanna
At 13 years of age Nanna got herself into a little (a lot) of trouble. Residing next to a popular caravan park as a herd-less Goat, she kept breaking in and eating everything in her path, evidenced by her very chubby belly!
Tensions overflowed when she couldn’t resist a park residents prized and sentimental roses and the council was called. If you are a farmed animal species and find yourself picked up by the ranger, it’s more often than not a sad outcome.
A wonderful human who managed the neighbouring caravan park began reaching out to find Nanna safety before it was too late. She monitored the situation and called our friends at Free Spirits Farm Sanctuary who dropped everything to collect her when the situation escalated and became urgent.
A chain of kind people making kind decisions secured her rescue. In a world where so many turn the other cheek, ‘Not my problem’, it’s heart warming to see people come together to give an ol’ Goat the retirement she deserves.
Nanna doesn’t have a tooth left in her mouth, a little arthritis has set in and she is shy, but this sweet old lady has a lot of life left in her yet. We look forward to providing her a loving home as part of the Sheaar Existence Goat herd for all her days
